The Cassinazza Neorurale context is located in a strip of land between Milan and Pavia. The area is reach in infrastructures, as the underground 11 km far and the ring road only 10km far, which goes to all Milan airports. The district is rich also in historical and cultural terms, due to presence of Certosa di Pavia and naviglio Pavese.
In the Neorurale vision, also the physical rural infrastructure form together with the agricultural land a unique and indivisible compendium, as it was in the farmhouses of the past. Thanks to these characteristics, the territory can host work offices (typical features of urban areas) without building new infrastructure, so that even work activities can be compatible with the agricultural landscape.
This is the case of the Darsena farmhouse, one of the seven Cascinas of Cassinazza complex. Nowadays, offices for over 300 people are accommodated in the historical buildings, as well as in the re-qualified buildings of swine livestock, so that 3 of the 5 hectares that were used for breeding are now back to the environment.
